Yeah they aren't organized in a orderly fashion such as in photoshop or who the digram showed on the website but they were organized into groups as you can see. And yes this is a screen cap of my desktop. I was just too lazy to put them into a folder when I did it. But the 10 concepts will follow suit when they are finally scanned. This was an interesting project, especially finding 100 pictures to match my odd interests. My concepts I don't believe are the best ones but its only a start. It's suppose to help stimulate the thinking juices.

ART 348 Project 1: Shopping at the Grocery Store

So when I was young, my brother and I would go to the grocery store with our mom because we weren't aloud to be home alone. The only thing I looked forward to when going to the grocery store, or 'the store' as we called it when we were little since we didn't think there was more than one kind of store, was if my brother and I were well behaved through the whole shopping day, my mom would buy my brother and I these specific animal crackers. When I saw this assignment that was the one thing I knew that I could buy from a grocery store that would remind me of my childhood. It always seemed to be a Safeway, which is where I went, but I'm not sure if they have these specific animal crackers at any other grocery store. At first I couldn't find them, and then I found a big bag of them and was a little defeated until I looked some more and found the boxed ones with the little yarn strap to carry it and everything. This happened to be a limited addition one but normally they have a picture of random animals such as the polar bears and some gorillas, tigers, and lions all in circus looking cages, if you didn't know what they looked like. I was happy to have found them and they still taste exactly how I remember, delicious!

ART 348 Project 1: Place I've never been to: The Cemetery

It was hard for me to think of a place I'd never been to and go there in less then two days and write about it, but there was one thing that I thought of that I pass by but have never gone to and that is the cemetery. The only time I felt like I was in a cemetery was this little memorial site in my hometown with about 10 tombstones in the ground surrounding a flag pole. But I never thought of that as a cemetery. I've never been to big cemetery because all the relatives that I can remember dying were all cremated and burried at sea so I never had a reason to go to a cemetery. So I decided to go to the one here in Ashland and it is quite a morbid place. I feel as if I'm not aloud to speak loudly or I might upset the spirits or something. It was almost "dead" quite (haha) but seriously I felt a little uneasy since I've never really been to a cemetery before. But it was a good experience so now I won't feel all these feelings when I go to it again at some point (hopefully not for a long time though).

ART 348 Project 1: Ebay: Barbie dolls

Here is something I miss quite a lot that I loved as a child. Just your classic barbie doll, not the new barbie dolls they  have today. Those one's creep me out with their faces being morphed to fit a specific character. No, I'm talking about your classic blonde, blue-eyed, beautiful barbie with the classic barbie face. I had so many barbies when I was young that I had to put them in a big tub under my bed. I loved buying the pretty ones with the fancy dresses or the collectors edition barbies and then buying the Ken doll that went with the barbie doll. I didn't give up my barbies until I was in middle school and then sadly I sold all of them my freshmen year of high school. But this is one thing that I loved and then lost and sometimes wish I still had just to play with in my free alone time.
